Sept. 7: Volleyball: Alexander 3, Nixon 0

Alexander 3, Nixon 0: Alexander swept Nixon, 25-11, 25-16, 25-15. The Lady Bulldogs improved to 3-1 in District 29-5A, 13-4 overall. Nixon fell to 2-2, 12-12. Leading the way for Alexander was Adriana Nino (14 assists, six digs, eight points), Lizzy Prieto (nine assists, 11 kills, five points), Kassy Garcia (13 digs, 16 points) and Denise Vela (12 digs, five points).
