Week 4: Football: Alexander 47, Del Rio 41

The Bulldogs needed a huge win on the road against the Rams to stay in the District 29-5A title hunt, and they got just that. In the process, they handed Del Rio its first loss this season. Alexander jumped out to a 21-7 lead and never looked back, thanks to the heroics of junior quarterback Brian Swain. Swain ran for two touchdowns and passed for four more. Alexander led as much as 47-28 in the second half. The Bulldogs improved to 2-1 in District 29-5A, 3-1 overall. Del Rio fell to 2-1, 3-1.
